F1600 and F2000 winter meeting at PRI

We will be hosting our second annual winter meeting at PRI in a bit over 3 weeks.
We are scheduled for 11:00AM on Friday December 2 in meeting room S320D.
All current and interested competitors are welcome.
The results of this seasons survey will be discussed as will the plans for 2012.
We will not release any schedule with TBA's [to be announced] for locations or dates and are close to putting a schedule out that you can plan your 2012 season around. The 2012 schedule is getting very close to being done, patience....
One thing we learned this season is to not step on the Runoffs, those 2-3 weeks of September will purposely be left unscheduled by either of our series.
We look forward to seeing everyone in Orlanda in just over 3 weeks from now.

Simon Pagenaud and the Piper Fit would have more than one slow car to compete against if they came to one of our races, which average 25 cars per weekend in 2011, our first season.....

The meeting at the PRI show is not mandatory, not even close. Historically so many of the teams have representatives at the show that we have found it convienent to have a meet-and-greet.

You see, RAND lives in CT and the recent snowstorms have cost him his power for significant time and hence delay - the smoke signals from the fire place did not get to the assistant at the intended destination of Panacea FL due to northern prevailing winds -

That being said - if you can make it it is a fun time without the time pressure of a race weekend - and held at a spectacular event - never can you go to a place and determine how much you can learn, how much "stuff" you want and way racing folk are some of the most creative people you'll ever meet - AND view a SIGNIFICANT number and varied group of race cars !

Two weeks from tomorrow, Dec 1, 2011's Performance Racing Industry [PRI] show gets underway at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
We know of several F1600 FF cars that will be displayed at various booths and we, Bob Wright, Mike Eakin and myself will be attending to answer any questions that you may have. We will host our Winter Meeting on Friday December 2 at 11:00AM in Meeting Room S320D to discuss rules, schedules and any other topic of interest to the assembled entrant base. Last years meeting had over 100 attendees and we expect that number to only increase this time around.

was very nicely attended even had some SCCA Topeka guys - I am sure the Purple Frog will update - short verson/ fees in/for f1600 going up - And now need an SCCA pro license which will be packaged and included in the registered car/driver fee - two (2) events without being a registered driver still permitted - no change in the Fit restrictor size - (unclear here -- Europeans spec cars allowed BUT must conform with european rules - i.e. a wide body cars can't run with SCCA style ride height - WAIT for a Frog clarification before comment -- "It is good to be the King Rule 20" is available if neeeded for competitive adjustment -- Mygale -Spectrum - db-1 on display -Honda Fit motor at HPD - I'll try to load some pic Sunday Night

Are there any updates with respect to the 2012 race fees and cost of pro license? Have amounts been finalized?

Ross, registration opens very soon, F1600 registration fee up $100 but for that you get one SCCA Pro Racing Drivers License and unlimited Crew Licenses.
Entry fees still to be determined but obviously more than 2011's $650 for a double race weekend.

That is good news. As I had mentioned to you in my survey response, I think that the five double race weekends of this year was ideal. Bumping it up to seven weekends was going to have a chilling effect. Six weekends is better than seven, still would like to have seen it stay at five but thanks for listening to everyone and making an adjustment.

yeah, bernie called and spent an hour begging Rand for us to be there. It's reported that rand fell asleep during the call. However it's not clear whether the nap was due to boredom or Rand's advanced age.
