Spectated Friday practice at CA Speedway. Man those FF were running fast & tight even testing. I suspect the speeds were near 140 mph (wag). Very impressed with the number of Club Fords (17). I can hardley wait until Oct to run my Lola for the first time at Vegas.

In a big draft, we did get Sam Simpson's Swift over 140 (by the gear charts). The Vintage FF's and Club Fords were running closer to 130 by our figures.

It sure was fast. Karen with a tired engine in her Lola was taching at 6600 rpm with a 24:27 high gear putting her at about 120 mph in the high groove. That was as fast or faster than about half the field. You then carry that speed into turn three which is a tight first gear left into the infield. Are you good at threshold braking?
