Default Formula 1 Drive for 2012 F1000 Champion

Lotus Renault F1 Driving Experience for F1000 Champion

In addition to the $50,000 Championship cash award, the Formula 1000 Championship Series in association with Lotus Renault GP will be awarding the 2012 F1K Series Champion a Formula Renault F1 Driving Experience at the challenging Hungaroring Grand Prix Circuit, where they will have the opportunity to test drive a Renault F1 car. Formula Renault has helped launch the F1 careers of numerous talented drivers, including; 2010 F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel, 2-time World Champion Fernando Alonso, Robert Kubica and Heikki Kovalainen, as well as IndyCar stars Will Power and Justin Wilson.

“We are very excited to offer this opportunity to our Champion,” stated F1K General Manager, Jon Lewis. “It is our goal to open up a new world of opportunities for our drivers. Open-wheel racing is huge overseas and the experience of European racing is a great benefit not only over there, but for drivers competing right here in North America.”
