I have recently purchased a 1988 VanDiemen FC car and was wondering if anyone out there had any info on where I could obtain some technical info on this vintage of VanDiemen.I am interested in any manuals, drawings, updates (other than a new car), etc. that may be available. I e-mailed the VanDiemen factory and they had nothing. Also intersted in finding out if any parts are interchangeable with other year VanDiemens.
Also is there any place that supports the older cars with new parts and bodywork? Any info would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chuck M

    Chuck,

I owned an RF88 from September 88 to March 93. We did extensive development work with the car. There was no factory manual nor support. FF2000 was not big in England at that time and Primus was yet to become the Vandiemen importer. Jon Baytos of Primus ran his brother Brad in another 88 in the Southeast in 88 and 89 against us. They will probably have some insight about the car. Kevin at Comprent in Athens, GA ran Sandy Thalheimer in an 88 during the same period. Anthony Lazzaro in an 89 was run by Essex Racing in 89. I will dig through my old notes in the next couple of weeks and see what I can find. Email me your address and I can photocopy some of the information to you if you are interested.

    Good Luck!
