Hi all,

Was wondering if any of you have tried the new TOCA Race Driver 2 game on the PS2 and XBOX. I heard it's not bad and has FF1600 in it you race at some cool tracks. Anyone tried it?

Cheers,

Al.

Arguably the best racing simulator avail. I highly reccomend it. I never play gran turismo anymore. One warning this game is the most addictive racing game I have played.

Wow! That's a big statement! I'll have to go out and pick it up now.

Just wait another few weeks until GT4 comes out.... You may change your mind Brian.
I think since Gran Turismo has dominated for so long, there are many companies that are trying to knock it off the top spot (like Forza for XBox and apparently Toca2 as well). That means nothing but good things for us.

Well having rented the game and played most of the weekend, would have been all, but had wedding to go to, I can honestly say I think it's the best racing simulator currently available for the PS2. While I spent most of my time racing a FF, it has various cars and a very good collection of tracks. I reccomend it highly. If enough people get it, perhaps we could organize FF races online.

BTW, I still blieve Grand Prix Legends is best racing simulator around, but you need a high end computer to make it really hum.

Cheers,

Al.

Hey Guy's
I know many of you are hardcore PC racing sim fans... anyone play racing games online with PS2 or XBOX?? I know the new batch of games are online compatible. Thinking of getting the adapter for my PS2. My controllers are worn out playing grand prix career challenge and Indy Car 2004. Would be lots of fun playing with you guy's.

hey guys....
just got the TOCA 2 game for play station. it was hard to find in my area, so i had it sent from on line....... having GPL and F2000 for my "very slow, almost dead" computer and F1 for play station, i must say i like TOCA 2. not, the best, but, i like having different tracks and different types of cars and the story line that goes with it....
about the only thing i see wrong with it so far is, the in-car view in FF. it's sort of lame. but, other than that, it's a neat way to go thru the up coming winter....
BTW, for those that will try it.. the very first command you give the game must be from the driving control you want to use. so, if you use your steering wheel, input with it.
other than that --- enjoy

I've been playing the Z-Tech Fords on Toca2 on my PC for a couple of years. Although the game is very realistic, I think the F2000 and F3 Mods have more realistic physics

I just rented Toca2 last night and got to play it for about a half hour or so. I ran vintage mustangs at Road America and it was pretty cool. It was weird seeing Road America in a Playstation2 game! The physics are pretty good for a PS2 game, but I think Gran Turismo 3 still has the top spot in my book and GT4 is right around the corner... I was surprised how easy it was to stay on track in Toca2. I was divebombing corners and the car stuck pretty well. I still have to try the formula fords though.
