Default Apexspeed switch to spec Miata site?

Doug just informed me that he's sick and tired of "all you whiner formula car guys" and is switching the site over to a more mature group of racers.

Cool, I am in the process of selling my FF and going fender racing myself !

I have a really nice SC93 with fresh Ivey/LD200 and 25K cash if anyone wants to let go of a SM donor car.

    Default Pre-Miata

Why do a Miata when you can do the original. Just pulled my 74 MGB out of the back yard and set it by the garage. Just need to decide if I want to prep it for Vintage, SCCA or LeMon racing.

    Default Interim Miata

I understand that Doug Carter considers the Miata switch just an interim measure. I believe that he considers the Kent just too modern and eventually wants to promote a return to the real root of our racing, the flathead English Ford engines of the 50's. He reasons that with no push rods, rockers or rocker shaft and lower revs, maintenance costs will be even lower than a Honda.

This might be cheaper to run than the 50s flathead.

Can't say I want to do the uphill at RA with that, though.

That is a bit sick to switch from some really cool CFF's, a Van Diemen and a Crossle', to a pack of chick cars on the banner. The site must have been hacked!

Is the meathead windshield banner smack dab in the middle of the photo supposed to be some sort of subliminal message?

Meathead is a SM prep shop based at Summit Point. There are always seemingly dozens of those things with Meathead banners buzzing around there.

I retract my previous offer in regards to exchanging my FF plus cash for a SM donor car. At the present time, I am unwilling to undergo the castration/breast implant surgery requirements to complete the deal.
