    Default AFFF in freezing weather.

I just ordered a new AFFF fire system and I thought you were not to expose these tanks in freezing weather? I wasnt home when my package arrived and now I am concerned about the function and reliablity of this fire system? Probably sat outside for more than 10hrs in subzero weather.........................what do you think?

It probably would depend on how much soap ws mixed in the water my the manufacturer.

Personally I would consider it to be bad until checking with the manufacturer who is the only source I would count on.

another reason to not use soapy water to put out a fire.

    Halon would be no issue.

    I know.......

I believe the concern is that the water portion of the mix will freeze and crack the bottle. If yours is like mine it shipped empty and you add the water yourself, so the package should be fine.
