Do I have the lap record at Palm Beach?

Hi all,
I raced a couple weeks ago down at Palm Beach. I had a great time and went pretty fast. I just checked MyLaps and it says that I set a lap record at 1:14.256. Is this possible? I was even faster (1:13.6) on the test day on stickers. But I'm somewhat dubious about this so-called record. Does anyone know for sure?

You may have to reach back to the January 2009 Winter Nationals.

It was a crowded track as a recall.

Per my records for both National races:

Ahshen Yelkin had the best qualifying time of 1:11:488
Mirl Swan had the race track record at 1:11:940

I was in DSR:
Foyial had the best Q time of 1:13.018
I had the race track record of 1:14:052

According to EFCN (http://www.eformulacarnews.com/news_info.php?n=4583), Ashen Yelkin went 1:11.488 in 2009.

A guess: You went faster than anyone previously recorded within your SCCA region (or whatever organization you ran with).

In other words, if your SCCA region had a slower time (or no time) loaded into their software, then their system flagged it as a new track record.

Russ is correct, many local divisions maintain Regional/National/Pro track records separately for each track. If it is a Runoffs track, they maintain a Runoffs track record group as well.

Ah..that makes more sense. I don't typically run at the front of national races yet so this "record" was very suspect in my mind. Thanks for the clarification.
