I have four 8100s for sale. Twenty minutes from a fresh Anita Milican dyno. How many and what size?

FVs (actually any car) require different length rear shocks depending on the design of the rear suspension. The 15 1/2" (extended length) shock is very common as it is used on most cars with trailing arms behind the rear axle. This would include Mysterians, Caracals, Adams, Stilletos, etc. Also, many of these same cars use a very soft spring and will use a 2 1/2" ID diameter rear spring which seems more stable in its application.

BTW ... I am in the market for a (or pair) 15.5" Penske 8100. Would trade pair for Dynamic pair. See http://www.apexspeed.com/forums/show...703#post276703

What is the typical cost of a Penske 8100, say a 15.5"?

Probably a new one would cost about 1/3 of what you paid for your car. The Fox that came with your car is a similiar performing shock and probably perfect for your immediate needs. I believe Bob Lybarger is a Penske dealer or distributor and has experience with Fox and Penske on FVs. He is also in your area and can evaluate your Fox for you.

A new 8100 will run you close to $1000.

I had a Fox in my old car that was rebuilt using penske internals.

Stimola can do that fior you if you'd like.
