Default 07 or later gsxr1000 core wanted

    Hey all,

I Need one of your blown motors for a core to use in chassis fabrication work. Of course a good motor car kit would be of interest too.

    Thanks,

    Default

Depending on which pick up points you are using you can use any year. The two at the back of the motor are common from 01 thru 08. The one at the rear of the block at the cylinder heads is common also. They dropped the mounts on the cylinder head in the later years.

Headers spacing and size is different based on the year that you are using.

09 is a fresh start although I have not measured one.

    Default motor mounts

    Thanks Mike,

CAD models work in the initial design phase, but being from the old school, I like to have all the pieces in place when I'm actually cutting metal.

Looks like I need an early engine and an 09/10 one also......
