    Default Wheel clips

OK I have done a ton of research looking for the safety clips for single nut wheels on race cars....I have a small wire/spring steel that works by squeezing and placing in the stub axle hole...problem is when you search you must have the proper terminology to be effective....for that I am not....if anyone knows both what to call them and where to buy them that would be great...

    I do have a DB4

    Default pins

Those are the ones I also use on my car.
Very light , don't add any weight or undue vibration.

Those are standard "hitch pins" available at any hardware store. There are many other options (such as the R pins listed) available.

Sorry, missed that. Those are most likely custom built, probably in the UK. Phil Reilly in CA can make some - he made some similar for me for the March F1 - or probably Alvin Brantley in Indy can also make them. I've never seen those in production. Uses spring steel and are a pain to make. I'd opt for one of the various other types of clips out there that are way cheaper.

Make your own from welding rod (fairly easy to bend) then have them heat treated to make them springy. Sorry I can't remember the specs - made mine 15 years ago and they're still 'like new'. No doubt Richard or someone else will chime in with the details.

    Default Wheel Clips

We have used Tillman Group Hitch Pin Clips, like the one below, with great success. You can get them in Home Depot or Lowes. They come in various wire diameters and lengths. As these are run of the mill commercial clips, the wire diameter tolerance is not held as close as we need, so take a micrometer with you, check the wire diameter of each piece and pick those that will have a good fit in the spindle hole.

Has anyone used an AN415-2 "cowl lock pin" as a wheel safety clip?

    Looks like they should fit.

I am surprised Pegasus does not offer them....

I use the AN clips as they dont lose their tension as some of the Homedepot clips seem too, they can be hard to get it but they also stay in.
