New Entry in FB
If you watch entry lists closely, you might have noticed that we have a new entry to the FB class.
Keith Roberts will be joining us. He has entered the Road Atlanta National this coming weekend in his new ride: a 2010 Phoenix.
Join me in welcoming Keith to FB. I'm sure that his smooth driving style will be plenty fast in an FB. I look forward to racing with him!
Keith should soon be a front-runner.
I first met him about ten years ago when at the ARRC in an 87 Reynard he set the Road Atlanta CFC lap record that probably has never again been approached. And that was when they did tear-downs in impound afterward.
He won the Runoffs in FM.
Tried FC with a Tatuus. Got smart and sold it to me.
Then he bought Defer's old pinto car, and last year set the Road Atlanta FC lap record.
He can drive.
At the ARRC last November he was in the paddock with his son seriously eyeing the FB cars.
I sort of knew what was coming when i saw that Chuck was driving Keith's pinto this weekend.
A Pheonix in the South East will make FB even more spectacular.
That's great news - even more reason to pull my finger out and get my car back on track!
I also heard that he would be the east-coast dealer for Phoenix- can't think of anyone better to help get a buyer up to speed and provide support!

Yes, Keith will be a good addition to the class, especially considering the new, steady east coast exposure and support for the Phoenix. I think his goal is to have two cars soon under his tent, so there will be lots of opportunities for someone to drive a front running FB. Plus, this will double/triple the opportunities for input and developing the Phoenix.
Phil did a great job driving the Phoenix. I think Keith will continue that and do for Phoenix what Brandon has done for Citation, Glenn did for the Novak, Niki did for the RFR, etc.

The competition in this class is just getting deeper and deeper. I can only imagine what the Run-offs will be like.

For those of you not familiar with "KR", he's been on the scene quite awhile.
I actually got my FM from him and twin bro' Kevin way back in '98 or '99.
The bros took me under their wing until such time as I was quick enough to be a problem!
Great guy, very fast and tidy.
Dustin you got a couplea fast guys pedalin' for you now, congrats!
Rd Atl this weekend is shaping up to be interesting...
