MAZDASPEED Commits Close to Thirty Thousand Dollars to the Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear National Championships at Miller Motorsports Park
$4500 to winner in each class, and payouts down to fifth place at inaugural event

From September 16-19, 2010, racers from across the country will gather at Miller Motorsports Park to battle for the National Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear championship. Mazdaspeed has allocated close to thirty thousand dollars in contingency for this very special event.
“We are so grateful to MAZDASPEED and Mazda USA for seeing the value in the Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear National Championships,” stated Series Official Ben Hettema. “With this kind of prize money at stake we expect this event to draw drivers from all over North America.”
"The cornerstone of MAZDASPEED is the hardcore enthusiast, and there is no better place to see this than a club race where Mazda is the vehicle of choice," noted Steve Sanders,MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development Competition Manager.
The race winner in each class will walk away with $4500, second will receive $2000, third $1000, fourth $750, and fifth $500. Contingency is available to all three classes of cars that race in the series.

About the Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear
The Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear is a multiple-region series with an annual NASA sanctioned national championship. The series features a multi-class format; Formula Mazda (FM), Pro Formula Mazda (PFM), and the FormulaSPEED2.0 (FS2.0). All classes are powered by Mazda, and equipped with Goodyear Racing tires.
