There is Cash prize money at this event for registered http://F1000proseries.com along with great contigencies from goodyear and Jongbloed Racing Wheels.
Registering in the series gets you automatically submitted into the country wide national points program with http://formula1000.com/
Remember they are giving the F1000 series a split start away from the rest of the field. and If one of us qualify's on pole for the whole group then our class starts the race.
The track is also giving all f1000 pro series entrants paddock space under the awning right accross from the pre grid area.. so that will be fantastic and help the showing of the class and cars and give the drivers some creature comforts.
Trophies, awards, and champagne ceremonies will be done right after each race at the tracks podium location. Manufacturers make sure you are present for manufacturer trophies.
Lets Gather up more FB's for this double Race weekend.
Going to be a great show of FB's and a Great Race weekend !!!
David Palmer has been added to the event list in his Stohr. Who else can we get in on this event.. Larry Volum ? anyone know any other west coast racers.
Awesome. Good luck to everyone. If possible, send track updates to Mike B. during the weekend so he can send out Twitter reports. I'll be at Road Atlanta watching East Coast fast guys, so we'll try to do the same.

Good job guys on the number of entrants. This is going to help the national car count. I see Formula 1000 was listed at 19th in the class participation standings as of the end of February.

Sure, you can read about the results in detail, usually on Monday, maybe Sunday night if you're lucky.
However, the only place you can get almost up-to-the-minute F1000 race reports throughout the weekend is Twitter. Follow the happenings by signing up at: https://twitter.com/Formula1000
I think I have the two big races covered this weekend but if you're there or hear of some juicy happenings of interest to the F1000 brotherhood, send them to my e-mail address and they'll get twittered right away.
I believe that Woodman (Stohr) was 3rd and delaO (Phoenix) was 4th. Eight FB cars started the race.
DelaO was plagued by an engine problem that was apparently solved just before the Saturday race by the intrepid duo of Kevin Mitz (Rennworks) and George Dean (GDR engines). He also had a problem with sound violations, which caused his 3rd place qualifying effort to be disallowed.

I know the car DeLaO is driving (the white one) is brand new so not surprising to have a few glitches. Hopefully all the bugs are worked out and the young Phil can put the Phoenix up near the front today.
It's hard to see in the pictures but both of the Phoenix cars are sporting the new sidepod design that Dustin has been working on.
Great to see 8 FB's!
