    Default Paint Stripping on Magnesium

I'm tarting up the Hawke over Xmas, and I want to remove the black paint from the gearbox, and the centres of my Compomotive wheels.

Are there some paint strippers that would work, and still leave a gearbox case and wheel untouched. I would have thought that some would be caustic that would not do Magnesium or Alumimum much good.

Buy an inexpensive blast cabinet. Don't use chemical strippers unless absolutely necessary.

Use Captain Lee's stripper, you can also use duct tape to protect the area you don't want stripped.

If you are going to crack check parts, watch if you blast. Most blasting media will peen over and hide some defects from NDT.
