    Tim,

Garey Guzman has one in the Nashville, TN area. Tom Martin in Texas had a car that he was in the process of a 12A conversion.

Tony Woodford at AWR may know where some other cars are located.

    Tim,

I do not think that Tom completed the Mazda conversion. I will send you a PM with Garey's and Tom's email addresses.

    Cool!

I just machined a bunch of parts for a Swift 016 conversion to Mazda rotary power, I'm sure you'll see it next season.

    Hi Gary,

Do you know what class the 016 owner plans to run in ? It's my understanding the 016 can only run FA in line spec....no re-engine, etc. FS ???

    Regards,
    Bill

I'm not sure I should say the drivers name....I'm certain he has full intent to be running this in FA. We were in a mad rush to get the parts ready for the Runoffs this year but smartly the project was slowed down to give said driver time to get the car built. This was a spare no $$$$$ project.

    Sorry for the thread Hi-Jack....

    Hi gary,

My apologies for the hijack also.......no names needed.....when I asked the CRB about a re-engine of the 016 for FA, i was told NO, it was only approved in line spec form....ie Sir 2.3 MZR engine, wings, weight , etc.

Might be worth a phone call by your customer.....to the CRB.....anyone clarify this ?

    Back to coloring,
    Bill

    Bill,

Who on the CRB told you that the Swift 016 would not be permitted in FA if you were to swap the engine for a standard FA spec line, and conform with all of the relevant standard FA dimensions / weights?

    Cheers,
    Rennie

I think that both Ken Walker and Byron Stauffer had Mazda-powered Swift DB4's back in the day. Does anyone know what happened to these particular cars???
