One correction to the RA F2000 summary for race one:
As of lunchtime, the results were not final (so this may have been overturned), but Jeff Otto received the second place trophy for the ACC class after Billy Hagar was penalized for blocking.

And you didn't mention that half of the field finished with a total of six undamaged wings between them...

    Hi All,

Race results became final after race two on Sunday evening. In race one, Billy Hagar was penalised one spot for blocking by the Chief Steward. This moves Jeff Otto up to 13th place overall, second in ACC. In race two, Tommy Constantine was penalized $2000 and suspended for one race.

    Cheers,

Allan, I must say that the F2000 races were very definitely the highlight of Sunday's racing. I have never before had the opportunity to watch a Pro F2000 race. Are they all that good??

As with every series each race varies. Having said that, I think that the U.S. F2000 showcases some great up and coming talent and features alot of great racing throughout the field. The starts and restarts tend to amaze people. We routinely see three or four cars wide going into corners on these occassions. One of the reasons I work for the series is that I have been a fan right from the first race I saw. If you're in the area I recommend you catch our race at Mid-Ohio with CART (Aug 11) and the doubleheader at Daytona (Sept 15/16). We're expecting large fields at both races.

    Cheers,

    Al.

    Al,

This general class of car can't be too bad for showcasing talent.

After one year of racing, 22 year old Kimi Raikkonen goes from the UK Formula Renault '00 Champion, I believe after only 23 total races, to driving for Sauber in F1. He even secured a driver's point in his first F1 race, which puts him in a rather small elite group.
