Check out the second corner where Jason Cutts in the aqua coloured car chops across championship leader Daniel Reynolds, causing them both to spin. Daniel Reynolds hung on over the weekend to win the Championship.

Here is the seasonal wrap up:

BRUCE PEARCE AND DANIEL REYNOLDS WIN THE 1200 AND 1600 2009 NSW FORMULA VEE 1200 AND 1600 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS- ORAN PARK OCTOBER 31/NOVEMBER 1 Bruce Pearce regained his 1200 NSW Formula Vee State Champions crown by being the first 1200 Formula Vee over the line in Saturday afternoon's first race at the last Round of the 2009 NSW State Championship at Oran Park, south west of Sydney. The win gave Bruce a clear margin in the pointscore that could not have been caught by the ensuing 1200 competitors in the two remaining Sunday races.

However, the chase for the 1600 class Champions trophy could not have been different, with Daniel Reynolds' confident 32 points lead over Michael Kinsella narrowed to 20 after Saturday's first race following another "expect the unexpected" incident that dropped Daniel back to 15th from his 5th grid position.

Daniel's unwavering tenacity in the face of adversity saw him drive past 9 cars in Sunday morning's second race to tail Kinsella into the last race with an 18 point lead. Despite Kinsella's brave driving in the last race while afflicted with fatigue and influenza, Reynolds kept his cool to lose only 4 more points to Kinsella, and so win the 1600 Championship by 14 points, to the delight of his parents, Robyn and Chris, and chief engineer, Col Merz, on the pit wall.

Veteran Formula Vee driver, Stephen Butcher, consolidated his third place in the Championship pointscore throughout the weekend to record another one of many final podium positions in the NSW State Championship.

Daniel Reynolds becomes the first ever winner from the ACT of a NSW Formula Vee title.
Bruce Pearce's 1200 NSW Formula Vee State Championship victory was followed by Mako driver Michael Stipo, who will use this success to launch himself through a Skip Barber Racing Academy course in the US early next year, while third place getter, Sue Cannon, becomes the first woman to podium in a State Championship for over ten years.
All FVANSW members congratulate the winners and placegetters of the 2009 NSW Formula Vee State Championship, the biggest and best open wheel racing series in Australia!

Thanks also go to those FVANSW and interstate members who travelled great distances to race with us the last ever Oran Park State Championship meeting.
