Yes, best entertainment so far! Will be real interesting when they throw some 600cc bike engines into the mix in the future.

I am told that Chuck crashed heavily in one of the qualifying rain sessions and a bunch of people with Mike Quadrini leading the pack got him back for the race. What happened to him in the race is unknown at this time. BTW, Mike got mechanic of the year award for all his hard work.

Marshall, it looks like you had a tough FE race as well.

Q definitely deserves the award - he's a great guy!

As for my race, it ended about halfway through lap 4 when 2nd gear decided to exit the transmission housing through the ride-hand side.

....and it was my only DNF all year.

Ouch!! That has got to hurt! Is the transaxle salvageable or does this mean a whole new/used one?

    Default Great Races

I have yet to see the race as I was at the Ravens game. I watched some races on Saturday and thought the coverage was great!
Does anyone know when the individual races will be up on SpeedTV for viewing?

    Default Ooh, better make that

Speedcasttv.com, I'm fairly certain there is no affiliation with that other channel that has a similar name and used to have so much excellent programing, but now is just a shell of it's former self.
    Sigh...

    Just sayin'...

Don't know yet - the car is still in the trailer. Sometime later this week I plan to open it up and see just how bad it is. The case can probably be welded, but I don't know how much damage was done to the internals. No matter how I slice it, though, it comes up $$$

In the race the motor was soft...7200 up the front straight hill, 7400 down the hills. As the double yellow was being displayed, the bolt holding the bottom A arm to the spindle stripped out of the upright....left front suspension folded on the straight between the Kink and Canada....Race fini!
