EMRA/ FPR will be at Monticello Motor Club for our first ever visit to this new track. We will be on the South course. Friday- June 19th.

where can I find out the schedule? I saw the entry application etc, just curious how many sessions for open wheel and what they are (practice, qualify, qualifying race, race etc) Let us know

The usual format is practice-20 min , qualifying-20 min , race - 30 min.

Anyone know of estimated top speed for FC is at this track would be? Were trying to guess what 4th gear to put in. Knowing few folks have even seen thsi new track, it's nothing more then a ballpark guess. Based on the videos I've seen of BMWs running, they top out at mid 90's.

We're geared for Thunderbolt, and I doubt we'd ever get into 4th gear, with the stack currently installed.

I'm guessing we'd be safe with 110 MPHish? I'd rather be a little tall, then short, neccesitating a another gear change.

We had a bunch of fun. Nice to have another track alternative in the NY/NJ area.

BTW: Our gearing seemed to be spot on, gearing for 108 MPH top (6850 RPM), installing our lowest 1st (72ish) and splitting differance wiht 2nd and 3rd. We found ourselves running in the powerband mostly in 3rd and 4th gear, with the very entertaining turn 1-2 complex taken in 2nd.
