FST Comes to MAM

A Double Drivers School/Double Regional was held at the Mid-American Motorplex (Omaha) April 17-19 and was hosted by MVRG/KVRG/AVRG.

Jared Timmerman, Sugar Grove Custom Cars, successfully completed his Novice Permit requirements on Friday and went on to finish both regional races in Formula First on Saturday and Sunday. Conditions were less than ideal during the weekend with rain, cold and wind but Jared showed that he could adapt from Sport Mod Racing to formula car racing by doing both on Saturday. He is now the holder of the very first lap record (1.49) for a Formula First car at MAM.

Sugar Grove is planning on the debut of the new Mysterian M5, with Jared in the seat, at Grattan Raceway, Belding, Michigan in late May.

Jared did a great job last weekend. All that sliding around in the dirt will help with your learing curve. Great to have another open wheeler in SCCA.
