Wanted To Buy Where to buy shells?

    Hello,

I have several centers for my 3 piece wheels but the shells are all too bent to use. Where are some places I can get shells from?

    I've tried KodiakMotorsports & KeizerWheels.
Keizer's prices seem decent... Kodiak's were nearly double what Keizer wanted.

Any other places I should check out?
I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada... so pretty much anything I order is going to be coming from far away.

    Thanks in advance!

Whos centers are they? Each manufacturer usually has their own bolt pattern, so rims from one manufacturer will usually not fit the centers from another manufacturer.

That's a very good question. I don't know who made the centers. I bought them used.
I could measure the dimensions when I get home, would that help?

Do you know know any other places that sell shells?

Since they are unknown origin, you should post some pictures, with the bolt circle measurement noted. That's the only way anyone can guide you in the right direction.

    Here's a picture of a rim.
They are 13 inches. The shells are 5 and 5.5 inches wide.

The measurements for the shells are:
    18 bolts, 5 1/4 radius
Center bore cutout size 9 13/16
Outside Diameter of wheel center 11 1/4
    Mounting bolt hole diameter 1/4
    Inner Shell 3 5/16
    Outer Shell 1 1/2
(not 100% sure if this is for the 5inch or 5.5inch shell, will need to check)

I'll try to measure the centers tonight.

    Default Try Compomotive!

    Those are Tsunami wheels.

Those wheels came on the two Tsunami FFs built by Bob McCallum in Toronto in the early 80s. I am sure they are common shells .... my guess would be Compomotive which were very common in the mid-80s. I owned those wheels in the early-90s and would have had to change some pieces ..... I cannot remember details.

I thought the owner of those wheels and that car had been in touch with Bob. If not, PM me and I will forward contact info.

Can someone out there direct Jason to a source for buying parts for 80s-vintage 3-piece Compomotive wheels?
    Thanks!

From their website they direct me to http://www.fourstarmotorsports.com/ for Canada.
But I don't see any listings on that site for 3 piece wheels. I've sent them an email.

I believe Kodiak are interchangeable with Compomotive.

Kodiak want me to order custom shells and are charging a small fortune when compared to Keizer Wheels.

Does anyone know of a supplier for Compomotive here in Canada?

Here's the link to Compomotive in the UK they should be able to point you the right direction or tell you if they are even still available:

    www.comp.co.uk

The Four Star site you reference above appears to be mostly rally car parts. I gotta say I haven't seen any new Compo modular wheels in years, at least for race applications.

Why not just send a wheel center to Keizer and have them drill a hoop to match? Ryan out at Jongbloed might be able to do it too.
