The Formula Race Car Club of America offically changed hands at the conclusion of the 2008 FRCCA banquet held at the Village Squire in Blasklee PA. AJ Pugliese Founder and president for the first 29 years of the club turned the club ownership over to 11 year member and competitor John Heckman.
Pugliese, owner of Formula Haus Formula Car repair shops in Summit Point, recieved a 30 year service award and video dedication as Heckman's first official act.
Heckman followed with an acceptance speech that adressed not only the state and plans for the club, but also the state of formula car racing in the US. His hopes are not only to turn around the NE but also to eventually expand the club into the the SE and the mid west. He also hopes to develop long range plans that include finding a way to bring amateur formula car racing back to a national level of respect and popularity where it belongs and to have the FRCCA be part of that re-birth.
