    Default GSXR Headers

Just a couple of pictures of the header that we just finished the conversion. We used two sets of stock headers and re-welded them to fit into the frame. Basically they are all the same lengths and the stock unit which George Dean claims is quit good.

Mike, are your cylinders numbered backwards or are the 600cc and 1000cc motors opposite?

Are you making these headers for sale, or is it a one off product?

The numbers were just put there as match marks for welding. We are making a couple of other sets and we will add up the hours - if it is efficient enough I would market them. I can tell you that no one can afford the first set.

Looks good. What is the factory exhaust actually made of? I've heard Inconel and I've heard Titanium.

What makes up the rest of the system?

Just curious, what welding rod did you use, and did you purge the exhaust, when you did your welding? Nice looking work!

Purchased Titanium welding rod from a local distributor. If you have the patience you can use the scraps from the used headers and it works fine as well. Simple purge on the back surface.
