    Default Regulation advice please

Down here in South Africa, we are going thru turbulent times, as the economy and other issues has taken it's toll on motorsport.

As Formula GTi, we wish to open our regulations to allow other formula to join us in an "open" class. We are condidering Zetecs, Barber Dodge, and Speads (1000cc) to join us.

The Formula GTi competitors will still adhere to it's basic rules and regs, and compete for the Formula GTi Championship. The cars entering the "open" class must be governed by a set of rules that will still keep the cars close in competition.

For example the 1600cc Zetecs, can add wings and slicks, the Speads will raceas 1000cc only, and add weight etc. In addition we could consider Air Intake restrictors to keep the playing field level.

If I can get some advice from you guys, or a set of regs that you have implemented, for us to learn from it will be highly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Gerrit de la Rey

    Default SCCA GCR is online

You can go to the SCCA site www.scca.org, and download the GCR (general competition rules.) The section you are most interested in is the FCS (formula car specifications). I believe you can download that portion separately. From there you can make whatever adjustments you need to your regs to promote parity among cars, if that is the direction you want to go.
our 1600 fords are not allowed to use wings, so that would be a major difference, besides being a Kent engine rather than Duratec/Zetec.
