Great observations (as usual) Mr. Frog.

I've known Matt a little longer than you and agree that he is a class act. Yes, he talks a little trash early in the season, but it is not mean and he can back it up! His speech at the awards banquet blew me away. He graciously and respectfully recognized the talent and spirit of the champion as well as the other competitors. Plus he has an adorable family.

And of course, he is a Red Sox fan!

"Fast Matt" is a great guy on and off the track, so who wants to put us both in a DP car for the 24? It could be Matt, myself, Terrick, and Rand. Team F2000. Let's start the donations!!!

    Hi Blair,

By no means did I 'start' PRN. Actually, I count myself lucky to have been introduced to motorsports journalism through the folks that actually got the magazine started (David Weber, John Hopkins, Greg MacPherson and Rob Morton). After some tutelage, I will most definitely take the credit for building their A La Kart section, which covered your Red Ram F125 Pro Series...which was way ahead of its time (spec fuel, oil, front wings). My time at PRN really got me rolling in karting journalism, which has led me to our present status with one racing magazine and four racing websites.

Funny, I'm heading to the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals in Las Vegas this weekend, which is part of the shifterkart explosion that your series helped build back in the mid-90s.

Nice to see your name again...feel free to drop me an e-mail to catch up.

Great to hear from you. Forgive my "did you start PRN" Q. I am old! For some reason I thought you were part of the start up.

Well I am back in racing again. Bought an F2000 car out of Wisconsin. Was thinking about doing a Pro Series for FC out west. I kind of chuckle when I see bigger $ outlays and purse' so small as in the Pro 2000 FC series. What huge grids though! We used to get $2800 for the win, $2600, $2400 2nd and 3rd in the Pro series. I seem to recall we paid back to 8th. Tow $, pit crew food, hard charger purse, as I look back it was pretty good.

As you know FC racing is weak in W Canada. Do you think guys from the USA would come here for $ as in the Pro series? Use the same amount per race for purse. The combined pay out in tow $, purse with all awards was about $12,000 per race.

I would really like to get something going here!

Off to vegas, I am thinking about going next week. Relax not race. Please get me a number I can reach you at. I am glad to hear your still involved in the sport.

look forward to talking with you Rob.

    Bye for now,

    Blair Robertshaw

    Blair,

I'm sure that a Pro series offering the kind of money you're talking about would be a welcome addition to the sport and would draw some support. Not sure what the car counts are like in the NW however.

If you're in Vegas, I'll be at the track all week. My cell is 519-223-1152.

Yes, great video!!! Look fwd to joining you guys, perhaps full schedule for 2009.

Please, i beg of you, i NEED one of those lipstick camera mounts for the roll hoop on my FC. Have broken THREE Chasecam mounts and really could have used video during this past weekend to contest an on-track incident. For now my in-car data acquisition caught what happened so am fine, yet video would have put the final dagger into the heart of the matter.

    PLEASE PLEASE!!!

PM me for cost and availability.
    Enjoy the Track,

    Steven

    Default WGI

    Hey all,

Sorry to say, but Speedcast will not be attendance to cover the WGI round of the F2000 series. We had two races on the schedule this weekend, and due to an unexpected shortage of camera operators, only enough personnel to handle one of them. Again, I'm very sorry for this and we do plan to be back for the Mid-Ohio round.

    Thanks,
    Clark

Thanks for all the great coverage this season. It's great to see so many supporting the F2000 Championship.
