    Keith,

What type of brake pads were used for the three races? Thanks.

Keith or anyone else for that matter,

Could anyone tell me if I use Hawk Blue...if that is compatible? The reason I ask ...is some time ago I used PF pads and switched to a different compound and had almost disasterous results! Being that they are Hawk to Hawk...maybe no big whip. Thanks for your time and alowing "a fendered D Guy" into your forum. Great job on the site by the way...I use this place a lot Being that my car is really a half bred...93 VD FC.

Maybe one of the racing whiz kids can correct me if I'm wrong, but you should be able to use Hawk brand pads with different compounds (blue/black/etc) on the same rotor without an issue. We have done it without problems. I've been told not to do what you did and switch brands on the same rotor.

    Default LD-19 rotors

    STRAN04,
The problem is that the later compounds from PFC, leave something behind on the rotors, that has been a problem for those who switch to other compounds/makes of brake pads.
At first, you might think that your new pads are no good, but the residue on the rotor is at fault.
