Title says it all. Anyone have any suggestions for realistic games to try for the xbox? I have project gotham racing, which is pretty good, just looking for other games that have tracks in the US. Thanks.

Forza 2

Ditto on Forza. I crash at Laguna in the exact same places I have with real cars.
Seriously, it was spooky the first time I fired it up (I used to work in the Xbox console design group, so I got an early peek). All it lacks is whole-body kinesthetic feedback - which no one can afford. But it's amazing what your eyes and ears can do to fake you out and raise your heartrate.
I think it helps with racecraft too, if you avoid the temptation to just punt folks off.
Get the Xbox360 wheel and pedals too, it is just awesome that way.

I just picked up Forza 2 yesterday and it really is amazing... drive any one of what seems like hundreds of cars- even the marking on the track is accurate. I only spent an hour or so at Road Atlanta so far but can't wait to try it out on X-Box live.
Wonder how many of us have this game?

Thanks guys for the input. I do already have the pedals and wheel, which take a bit to get used to.
If there are any other suggestions, pass them on.
I think Forza2 is your only option. I don't think PGR is close, but Forza2 at least gives you an idea of what GranTurismo is like.

Forza 2 with the wheel & pedals ROCKS - got it for father's day this year. Really impressed with the cars, controls, and accuracy of the vehicle dynamics.
Any of the Toca Race Driver Series, 3 is the best of them. Highly Reccomended.
I am not sure if they have anyhting fo rthe 360, I have the standard one
Forza 2 is amazing.
Chuck...what's your gamer tag? I'll add you to my friends list.

I'm ashamed to admit this, but I've never been on X-box live... what do I have to do to connect it? Is it phone line, or network? Now that I know that there are other Apexers out there, this could be lots of fun this winter.
Anyone interested in setting up a few dates for us all to go on-line and play?
Your car was just sooo unbelieveably dialed in, that I actually though it WAS a video game...and if you recall, YOU broke the wing, thinking it would prevent me from being faster than you.
How are those certificates coming along? The dicast are almost ready to ship. We'll have to get together in the next couple of weeks to autograph them all.
Sometimes I think my life is just one big video game...maybe I'll start playing Rockband...look out Sting
Chuck, you need to hook it up to an ethernet port. I didn't have a router at the time so I hooked it right up to my DSL modem (in place of the PC). It took a while to get it configured right but it worked. I don't believe the xbox works with dialup, you need some form of high speed service .
I think there is a wireless adaptor. I think I'll check ebay......
....... and 40 bucks + shipping gets you hooked up to your wireless router.
yes, they do have a wireless option. i believe they are about $100.

Forza is the way to go for Xbox360, would have been nice if they had added F1600 as a drivable.
My son has Forza 2, and the wireless wheel. (his name is x 5neaky 5teve, his name is steven too) but when we plug the headset into the wireless wheel, it crackles, did this happen to anybody else, if so, how do you fix it?
We're going to return it tomorrow, so any input would be nice.
Happy Easter,
Thanks,
Steve
