Default "Quicksilver RacEngines / GMI- Fat Boys Racing Announce Affiliation"

"Quicksilver RacEngines / GMI- Fat Boys Racing Announce Affiliation"
    Warrington, PA. March 4, 2008

Quicksilver RacEngines will enhance its trackside support for 2008 with the availability of a spare engine for its F-2000 Championship Series customers. The engine, a joint venture between affiliate partners Quicksilver RacEngines, Gresinger Motorsports Inc and Fat Boy Racing will be carried aboard the GMI / Fat Boys trailer and made available on an as needed basis as determined by the Quicksilver representative on site.
"There is no departure from our policy to provide all customers with equally prepared engines" states Sandy Shamlian.
"This is about improving support to all of our loyal customers who might encounter a problem during a race weekend.
"In 2007, during qualifying for the first race at Watkins Glen, an engine failure eliminated the Team Kniffin entry for both races that weekend" said Kurt Greisiger. "If we had a spare engine on site we could have competed in the weekends races for our sponsors and continued our pursuit of the championship" he said.
Although some teams carry spare engines, other teams can now take advantage of this service. Costs will be rental / rebuild cost depending on the specific circumstances and the amount of time put on the engine.
Awww, come on guys, it's so simple. Maybe you need a refresher course. Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays.

I'm really happy that we were able to work this out with Sandy! i think it will be a great service to anyone that grenades an engine. There is nothing worse than packing up early due to mechanical issues.
