I have a feeling when they find him there won't be much left. But I am hoping for the best.

What's really strange about this is there was no signal from his emergency locator beacon. Those thing are designed to transmit a continuous wavering tone on emergency frequencies 121.5 & 243.0 meg upon impact & are virtually indestructible. Also, if he made an safe emergency landing he could then activate the transmitter manually.

When I looked on Gooogle Earth at the airport he left from I saw a very large lake not far to the north. Sure hope he didn't find his way into that. He is a really tough smart guy but the territory is pretty unforgiving. Keeping my fingers crossed that he is found soon.

That would explain the beacon not working, as it would not work under water. Sure hope he's ok.
