I recall a friend who had just bought new wheels and tires for his fast road car. His drive to work was over a long toll bridge (late at night) so he always ran it at "speed". The next morning after we got off work at 8am he ask me to come out and listen to a strange sound his car was making to see if I could help him figure out where it was coming from. OK,so we are pulling out of the parking lot with me sticking my head out the window to listen for the "mistery" noise.
We go 50 feet and his right front wheel departs and passes us! I turn and look at him and he's as white as a ghost! "I was doing 150 last night on the bridge!" Guess it was his lucky night?

That was an impressive stopping distance.
Also, good thing he put the parking brake on, it would have sucked if it had rolled away.
