If you have not heard by now, the EWC series openers at Grattan were very poorly attended. The combined FF/CFF car count was only seven cars. Expecting a typically full EWC field, Western Michigan Region scheduled a single race group for FF and CFF. To their credit, WMR kept their promise and race groups were not changed.
Rounds #3 and #4 are at Blackhawk Farms July 7 & 8. Blackhawk Valley Region has scheduled a single race group for FF and CFF. It is up to us to hold up our end of the bargain and deliver a healthy field of Formula Fords and Club Fords. I have been in contact with BVR race organizers and have told them that if we don't, then they are free to change race groups as necessary.
Everyone who has enjoyed a well-attended EWC weekend needs to do three things...
(1) Prioritize your racing budget (time and money) and support the EWC
(2) Send your entry into Blackhawk Valley Region right away...they need to be reassured that the cars are coming
(3) Help someone else get their FF/CFF ready for Blackhawk
It's not my series, it's YOUR series...and it needs some energy right now.
