    Plus I don't believe the old 1100s make the power that the new 1000s do.

    I agree, but I'm gonna built the car for the Swiss "formula libera", or in english "free formula", and I could use a 1403cc Big Bore Kit, the only limit is to stay under 1600cc.
    Somebody think that this engine, and specially the 89-92 version, is the best for cylinder head gas flowing.
    Head gas flowing + Big bore kit = about 250 hp

    This engine in dragster configuration can have more than 500 hp

    That class has been powered by motorcycle engines for a long time, so I'd be willing to bet that someone there has experience with that engine, even though at 1100 cc it is too big for their rules.
