    Default Hewland Gear ID

    Gents:

I have in excess of a dozen or more EG to NEW Hewland gears that are supremely robust:

    • Layshaft land OD is approximately: 1.283”
    • Pinion shaft ID is approximately 1.85”
    • Thickness is 0.65”

My Surmise these are for an FT-200. Confirmation, please?

Measuring the center to center of the 2 shafts is helpful as well. A close estimate can rule out certain gearboxes

FT200 layshaft gear ratio splines are 1.160 / 1.010 id, .650 wide, 6 splines. Pinion shaft gear bearing surface 1.849. DGB gear is 1.247 / 1.405, .705 wide, 10 spline. 2.046 bearing surface for pinion shaft gear.
Looked like a few FT parts in that stuff. "DG" gears are the same as DGB but dogs are shorter about .050.
