Default Mini Lap Timer with Delta Indicator

I ran my first race weekend at Pacific Raceways during Spring Sprints this past week in my new to me 1967 Russell Alexis.

The only thing I really miss is having some type of Delta indication and lap timer. I'm a bit large for the cockpit so I sit slightly tall. Glancing at the center of the steering wheel isn't an ideal option, although when I get my bead seat done it may drop me enough to have a better viewing angle.

In other sports I'm involved with we have toyed around with digital goggle displays. I searched the net today and didn't see anything similar for auto racing.

What solutions have you Formula Ford (small cockpit) guys found?

    Default Digital displays

Congrats on the first outing!! Sovren is a great group to run with, you might want to check the rules on digital displays. Not quite vintage, or just use the cars around you as a delta.

Best of luck enjoy the new adventure!

I ended up using an AIM with a cutoff wheel. First I mounted it on the wheel, then I just played around with mounting options and got it back on the car.

I had similar problems, my position in the car made it such that I was having to look around the wheel to see the gauges, I could only get the tach positioned so I could read it.

The good thing about the digital dashes is the ability to keep much better tabs on engine health.
