    Default Brake Squeal

What are the causes of brake squeal? I recently swapped pads back to front with spacers in the rear, hawk blacks with the smooth OEM VD floating rotors. I was wearing some pretty effective ear plugs and I could hear the brakes screaming on every application.

I've heard it a bit every now and then over the years, but nothing like this before.

The squeal is usually the pads backing plate going into a harmonic against the caliper piston. On road cars here at work the techs use copper Anti seize on the back of the pads.
