    Default Swepco Gearbox Oil?

Is anyone using it for their Hewland FTR?

The off-road racing community uses it a lot. There’s nothing more abused than an off-road racing gearbox.

I haven’t seen anyone here talking about it. What’s the go-to oil in 75w-90 for the Hewland? Redline?

I use it in my FT200. I was in a discussion at Cota one year and one of the big shops told me they tried a few diffent gearbox oils and took the oil temps at the end of each session. Swepco was the lowest.

We used it in PFM for a while back in the day.
Several people smarter than I believed empirically that it was ideal at reducing wear, but at the cost of increased drag. (There was no supporting data that I was aware of though).
