Default F2000 Road Atlanta March 21-24

I see a nice grid building for the FRP event at Road Atlanta event in late March. Spring weather should have arrived to this world class race track. Eight entries with 5 weeks to go. As a fan, it would be nice to see double-digit entries again so I hope more are inspired to make it out.

Living in Florida, we love our regional races. Well known facilities within a couple hours of driving time.

FRP is also a nice option when you want to race in a larger field. It is however 12 hours - 24 hours of actual driving time for us to attend the different events. The average track is usually 18 hours of actual driving (not including stops).

SCCA and FRP are different but both have good attributes.

I'm a bit confused on this FC group situation. Why is there a big push to organize events at SCCA with the intended goal of getting the fields large enough to be able to race in their own group?

We are personally trying to make both Road Atlanta Super Tour and the FRP event in FF, as they are close to home.

If the FC group doesn't want to race with the FE2 guys, wouldn't you just go to FRP???

I think it's highly unlikely for SCCA to add another group to the HST.

Hoosier Super Tours have sadly become just "4 sessions over 3 days" ...
Another separate run group does not help anybody except that particular group.
Can a "3 sessions in 3 days" scenario be far away?

Support FRP. Yeah, running with SVRA now it's not what it once was, but surely better than a super tour?

Adding another group was discussed, but the additional COST from the track to run 'overtime' was too high. That weekend is the FIRST weekend of DST and the days are just too short to be able to run 9 groups.

And great to see Brandon Dixon back supporting FC/F2000 racing.

While others play SCCA politics and criticize other's participation choices while not participating themselves, Brandon and crew spent a decade towing to FRP and SCCA races on the East coast and in the Midwest from Alabama, waiting for everyone else to show up! With apologies to a few other warriors, no one has supported the class more.

FRP is slow as heck getting the results posted! So what have the practice times been so far? We (Lathrop and I) know that DW was delighted with a change to his car snd was pretty quick in the first sessions ( not bad for an 82-year-old!)

Fabulous. Back where they belong after some tough tuning of late.

Tickled to read this. Go, 67s!
