    Default FST in Southwest

I looked at getting into FST many years back and the numbers were pretty dismal. I am hoping that changed and am looking in the southwest part of the US. SoCal, AZ and NV. I like FV but getting parts for a 1200 is gotta be really tough. So did FST grow in this area?

Plenty of 1200 FV's still in competition. Parts are not that difficult to get.

I think there may be 1-2 cars down there, but I am not sure they are even active lately. At this point, FST unfortunately basically only exists with the main series, which is the Michigan thru Pennsylvania strip.

There are currently 3 FST's in the San Francisco region that race occasionally; hopefully they will be racing more often, very soon...

However, as Matt points out, the 'series' covers the eastern side of the USA and typically has 10 or so entries per event (I am guessing on the number of entries however). There is a FST website (https://formula-first.proboards.com/) that covers most things FST, and does have race results and points for that series; the website is NOT just for series participants - you can find some good information on the class there as there are some very knowledgeable and helpful racers that try to answer your questions.

I guess it is FV then but I was hoping for FST. I am willing to convert if the numbers start showing up. Thank you all for the replies.

I thought Formula First used a 1600 cc dual port engine.

They do, with a flow restrictor under the carb.
