Default Shipping from Fort Myers Florida.

Looking to have a motor shipped from Fort Myers to the south Chicago area or nearby.
Crated motor about 30x30x30 or it could be uncrated. Thanks.

Are you looking for a trucking company recommendation or someone to pick up and deliver?

If trucking company, I always used AAA Cooper when sending my engines off for refresh. A late friend of mine always used Fedex freight. Both of us had good success.

If someone to haul it north, no help there, I'm afraid.

The website - uShip is great for this sort of thing. I know many racers (including myself) who have used it for shipping motors around the US.

Thanks John. I'll reach out to AAA Copper. Fedex freight was ridiculously expensive.
I was also hoping a snowbird returning to the midwest might be able to pick it up on their return.

    Thanks Twill45. I didn't think of uship.
I have used them in the past for a car delivery and they were reasonably priced and delivered earlier than scheduled.

The cost of shipping has risen faster than almost anything else.

Greyhound Bus used to be an economical way to ship, however, they have ended their package express.

    Default Freight

I just used Freightquote.com to send 2 30x40x30 crates cross country. I wound up using fed ex express freight at about 50% the cost Fedex website quoted me. They gave me multiple options. Also saved significantly by dropping off and picking up at the fedex depot instead of delivery. I used my pickup truck for dropoff but they would have picked it off a flatbed or the ground.
