2009 Piper DF5 (Number 6 or 7 built by the Learneds)
Up for sale is arguably the fastest Piper on the planet. It is a 2009 DF5 and was converted to a Honda engine in 2010. We are the third owner of this beautiful car after having it shipped from California when we bought it from Skip Streets. This car driven by the 2023 Team USA winner Jack Sullivan as a father/son effort was the 2021 Northern Conference SCCA Major Tour Championship winner as well as the 2021 Great Lakes SCCA Divisional Championship winner.
In early 2022 we restored the car ground up installing many new parts including lightened CV joints from Fast Forward and all new airframe AN fasteners. We also had Alan O’Leary rebuild the engine with the big pistons, rebuild our Penske 3-way shocks and we had the fire suppression system recertified.
In 2022 Jack drove the car in just a few FRP events picking up four top five finishes including a third-place podium at Autobahn and a win at Barber.
In 2023 Jack again competed in six of the seven FRP events picking up five wins with a total of nine podiums…an awesome achievement for a father/son effort.

Freshly rebuilt uprights with new axles, center-lugs, polished bearings, and low friction seals by Fast Forward in 2023
