great racing! I think Nolan Allear (sp?) could have been a threat until he misjudged that outside move in the semi-final that shuffled him into the last chance qualifier and deep into the field for the final.

And by "misjudging an outside move" I think you mean being hit from behind by a car trying to outbreak and pass on the inside of a damp corner. Usually when you're in front, you're not making a move.

The fact is Nolan Allaer had a great chance to win the whole thing, had it not been for that incident. He beat the eventual winner in his heat race, and had the pace to hang with the leaders. But - that is racing. As many of us know, it takes a lot of luck to win these things too!

Walter Hayes this weekend. It will be interesting to see how the Americans do in this classic race.

My apologies. I'm a fan of Mr. Allaer after watching his brilliant and well earned win at the runoffs. He's a class act and very talented. I wish him the best of luck this weekend.

Default Tough weekend for our guys, but....

.... seemed to have everything. Very close racing, bizarre weather, and all of the interviews were interesting.

    Thanks for reminding us Dave
