Default Swift DB2 Rear Brake Question

Can any DB2 experts out there tell me why most DB2s don't have the rear brake/dampener cooling snorkel these days?
Do the latest brake pads not need the additional cooling? Do canister dampeners work better in the bell housing than the Konis?

    TIA
    Steve

    Default Swift rear brakes

I ran a snorkel for two years then removed it and saw no difference and I am in a hot zone

The original DB2s had LD20 brakes on all four corners. There was an update package at some point to LD65s. When my father updated our DB2 he only updated the fronts. If the rears didn't get cooled the LD20s would overheat.
