    Default Nose / Wing Transport

    Hey everyone!

I'm going to fabricate a mount for the trailer to secure my front wing assembly...

I was wondering if anyone in the community would like to share example of their own designs for personal inspiration?

Any pictures or drawings is much appreciated!

I just hung them with bungee cords on the wall across from the door. Traveled 1,000s of miles safely that way. When they were not on the wall there wasn't any hardware to bump into. YMMV

Bike water bottle holders, some pipe insulation, and a bungee cord.

some of the F2000 guys copy the nose mount interface onto a tubular structure that's at least twice the height of the nose. They install this on the car and then mount the nose to it facing backwards above. Especially good if you don't have a lot of trailer wall space remaining.

My trailer came with Sprintcar wing mounts when I bought it used. Brand is HRP https://www.hrpracing.com/wing-hangers (Not Mike Devins but a place local to Hartford, WI). I ended up repurposing a lot of stuff from them in my trailer including a spare rad mount, trays for tools, etc...

    Default wing mount

For my FM, I used a bicycle mount I bought at Home Depot. It has two arms that fold up out of the way. The arms have semicircular recesses the wing rests in.

I mounted an eyehook on each side of nose and ran a self retracting ratchet strap just above wing so it can not jump out of bracket. Remember to mount bracket low enough that you can lift up out of bracket without hitting roof of trailer. I rest it in bracket and roll back to wall. Sorry I do not have photos, but very similar to Larry W's photo
