I'm about ready run. The Ocelot has a Kawasaki 1000J of about 100 hp running to a fixed location axle ie no differential. The Kawa motorcycle book says to adjust the chain to 1-1/8-1-1/4 Inch deflection. Mine at 7/8" on top was hitting to top of the sprocket cover when off throttle running the car up on jack stands. I found over in the Formula 1000 section suggestions the the flex on top should be 1/2 to 3/4" at the midpoint. What would be a good deflection?

The rear axles appears to be cut down Super Beetle/Porsche 924 axles with CV joints going to a VW camper van stub axle. Not exactly modern or light. This car originally had a Saab motor with unknown tranny and then got converted to the 750cc Suzuki triple in 1977.
