Default Crossflow Cup at Sears Point THIS WEEKEND!

Just a heads up for anyone who might be interested, Crossflow Cup at Sears Point this weekend for pre-72 and pre-81 FF's. 34 cars on the grid currently, no late fee if you want to come join the fun! The best FF racing on the west coast, hands down.

Last year's battle for the front: https://youtu.be/ahPzBj66zyQ?si=4M9W1o6Hp0ctuEuT
Last year's fight to be inside the top 10: https://youtu.be/dEa1BIpY3pY?si=8zHK52cjPzWpXjST

In addition to the on-track insanity, we will be selling $10 raffle tickets for a Lechner Racing Design helmet paint job, and as usual we have thousands in prizes and giveaways at the party on Saturday night. Pole sitters and hard chargers will receive automatic entry into the Top Gun Shootout at the final race of the season. Hard Charger also wins $100 Wine Country Motorsports gift card compliments of Katusha Speed Shop, Crossflow Cup Fastest Wrench award for polesitting mechanic (tool giveway valued at over $150), champange spraying for all podium finishers, Dezzani Digital Art giveaway, Ivey Engines Swag, Amsoil products courtesy of Shippert Racing Services, free beer and wine for all, good times, great racing... And best of all...

    No FIA rainlights required.
    No Flagtronics required.

Come join the fun, I promise you'll never miss the old club.

What about newer cars? Like '96 through '02 FF's that are running Kent motor on Hoosier Vintage Tire? Are these cars just classed differently, but able to run?

We have no one locally that would take us up on this, ergo we have no classification for newer cars. There are less than 10 racers in the area with later model cars, and all of them are Honda powered. So its not really a problem we've had to solve.

We have said for the past couple of years that if there was enough interest we would try to make it happen but no one has asked. The Honda folks seem content in SFR SCCA, and that seems to be that for the moment.

Another great field! I hope to be there Saturday to spectate.
I'm also looking to pick up a decent set of take-off tires for my project in the near future. Any thoughts?

Shouldn’t be a problem Eric, come find me somewhere in garage 21-24 on Saturday. Do you have a preference for Hoosiers or Avons?

    Thanks Ethan- that's great.
No tire preference, and willing to take all suggestions! The car and I both pre-date the current tires, with most of my FF time spent on McCreary's...
