    Does anyone know what this car is.

    You're in the UK and don't know what a Formula Ford is? You must be a young guy.
    Formula car, no wings small tires, powered by a 1600 Kent motor as found in a Cortina, Current models could use a Ford Zetec in UK or Honda Fit in the US.

    perhaps the original poster intended to include a photo of a car, and was asking "is this a formula ford?"

    i know it’s a formula Ford I race one, just after the maker of this particular car. I like the engine cover and would like to purchase one to modify to fit my car. By the way I’m 73

    Are you trying to post the example image used by wikipedia? It is a unique looking car with the radiators behind the engine like that.

    I believe that is a Merlyn MK31.

    Looks like a Mk30 Merlyn. My first and most forgettable race car. It did teach me a lot about car control though.
