Default Seat Insert for 2nd driver

I already have a custom seat made for me in my VD. Does anybody have any experience making a insert to fit in the custom seat for a smaller driver?

    Thanks
    Bob

If I was to do it I would do it just like making a regular seat insert with your "bigger" seat insert in place.

I would wonder how to get it to "snap in place" given that there are probably no definite "shapes" in your regular insert for the "smaller insert to grab hold of.

Why not just make a separate one for the "smaller" driver?

    Just MHO

    Hi Steve,

I have enough material to make a "booster" seat.

Between work and home updates, time & $ are at a premium right now.

I will reach out to my seat kit mfg, but I will most probably just make a new one.

    Thanks
    Bob

I thought as much. What do you have to lose in trying?

For that matter, Home Depot 2-part foam for the booster would probably be fine with the existing seat the primary shock absorber in case of accident.

    Default "booster"

We did some enduro stuff years ago and just used a seat insert to the owner's seat. Decades ago, just used two-part foam. If you watch some drivers changes now some have a small insert they carry with them to the car.
