    Default George Mazuro

Sad to have to pass this news along. Noted master mechanic of Porsches and Formula Vees, and many other things in the Detroit area, George died at home in hospice care July 25th, 2023. His business was Mazuro Motors. I worked for him there for two race seasons in the mid seventies, and have a lifetime of stories to tell. Visitation is this Friday evening 5-8 at E. J. Mandziuk & Sons in Sterling Heights. I suggest you vist their website for details. https://www.mandziukfuneralhome.com/...ro/#!/Obituary The funeral is the following morning, 10AM at St Mark Orthodox Church, 400 Hamlin Road, Rochester Hills, MI At this time, I plan to attend the funeral.

Sorry to hear this, a lot of my Cen Div Vee buddies in the day ran his motors with great effect.

    RIP.

Thanks for sharing the info; I'd heard word online but not on visitation, aiming to be there.

George was a good friend up at Waterford when both I and my wife got started racing, in the original 924... a great advisor and inspiration... we'll miss him.

When I was racing FVee in the late '60's and early '70's, we sometimes celebrated the end of the race with a shot of Vodka that George offered and I couldn't refuse. I didn't know him well, but he was a good guy and a friend.

    RIP, George.
