Default Help on rod end adjuster for Lotus T125

    Hi guys,

Wondered if you could help me find a part for the Lotus T125 Exosphere. It uses a male/female turnbuckle at the rod end of the top of each suspension pushrod. They are left hand thread on the male side and right hand on the female side. The thread is 1/2-20. Such items exist off the shelf with QA1, but I wouldn't use their shocks on my street car let alone such an item on the Lotus. I need to find a super high grade part. Any ideas? Maybe another manufacturer makes them? Maybe somewhere in England sell such a part?

    Thanks,

    Casey

Given the appearance of the turnbuckle on the left, maybe the OEM quality isn't all that great. Maybe QA1 would be an improvement?
That's a pretty easily machined part so it might be a good exercise for your students to create a drawing, select an appropriate material (with your guidance), and find a vendor to produce it.
Having said that, late model Van Diemens have a similar turnbuckle but with 7/16" threads. I wonder if a Swift 014 or 016 has a bigger version?

Am guessing that this would be easily within the grasp of ARP. Spendy, but with an understanding of the application I would think the spec and design would come pretty easily to them......

    best,
